IMF's 'C' grade for GDP data due to outdated base year: Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told Parliament that the IMF's 'C' grade for India's national accounts statistics, which includes GDP data, was due to an outdated base year. The government is in the process of changing the base year to 2022-23, effective February 27 next year, she said. "Overall, India was rated 'B' on all the fronts," she added.
