In a 1st, India launches National Red List survey to map species threat risk
Union MoS for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh launched India's National Red List Roadmap at the IUCN Congress in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The initiative aims to publish National Red Data Books for both flora and fauna by 2030, marking India's first comprehensive threat assessment of its native species. It will guide evidence-based conservation and planning.
