India, ADB ink $125 mn deal to upgrade Assam’s urban services
The Government of India and ADB signed a $125 million loan deal to boost urban infrastructure in Assam, covering six district HQs and Guwahati. The project includes water plants, pipelines, flood management, digital billing, and governance reforms. It aims to benefit 3.6 lakh residents with better water supply, drainage, and women-focused initiatives in capacity building and awareness.
