India bans imports via land routes of more jute products from Bangladesh
World's largest jute producer India has expanded its ban on jute products from Bangladesh, world's second-largest jute producer, via land routes amid strained relations. New products added to the banned list include bleached and unbleached woven fabrics, twines, cordages, ropes, cables, sacks and bags of jute. Imports of these products from Bangladesh are allowed only through Nhava Sheva port.
