India holds 15% of global gold market worth $23 trillion: Report
India holds a 15% share in the global gold market, which is currently valued at around $23-trillion, a report stated. Central bankers around the world bought gold worth $84 billion in 2024, while RBI currently has 880 metric tonnes of total gold reserve. Out of all the gold mined ever, 65% is in the form of jewellery, the report added.
