India imported 50% more US oil in Jan-Jun, contrary to Trump's claims on Russian oil: Report
Indian imports of US crude oil increased over 50% YoY after US President Donald Trump's second term began, contrary to his claims of India only increasing Russian oil imports, ANI reported. Between January-June 2025, India imported 0.271 million barrels/day (mb/d), compared to 0.18 mb/d in January-June 2024. Despite rising US oil imports, officials clarified India will continue buying Russian oil.
