India needs 40-50 astronauts for space missions: PM to Shubhanshu
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to travel to the International Space Station (ISS). PM Modi said, "We need to have a pool of 40–50 astronauts for India’s space missions." He added that they discussed Shukla's space experiences, scientific progress, and India’s ambitious Gaganyaan mission.
