India's 1st woman loco pilot on final train ride before retirement
India's first woman loco pilot, Surekha Yadav, took charge of the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express for the final time before her retirement. She was born in Maharashtra's Satara and cleared the Railway Recruitment Board exam, joining Central Railway as a trainee assistant driver in 1986. She became the country’s first female passenger train driver in 1988.
