India slips 13 ranks in latest global climate change performance
India has slipped 13 places to 23rd in the latest Climate Change Performance Index, marking its biggest drop in recent years. Released by Germanwatch at the UN COP30 Summit in Brazil, the CCPI evaluates 63 countries and the EU on emissions, renewable energy, energy use, and climate policy. India had previously remained in the top 10 for six consecutive years.
