India withdraws 14 BIS quality control orders for key chemical, polymer & fibre materials
The Centre has withdrawn 14 Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) quality control orders, covering chemical, polymer and fibre-based materials, with immediate effect. According to Moneycontrol, the move aims to ensure raw material availability, ease import constraints and lower input costs for MSMEs in the packaging, textile and moulding sectors. The move may also simplify compliance procedures.
