Indian Army joins in rescue of people struck by floods in Bhutan
In a coordinated rescue effort, Indian Army on Sunday ensured safety of people affected by a sudden flood in the vicinity of Bhutan's Amochu River. Army intervened after a helicopter of Drukair, Bhutan's national airline, was unable to take off due to inclement weather. Bhutan alerted West Bengal's government to prepare for possible impact after a hydropower dam began overflowing.
