Indian Coast Guard commissions 'Adamya' ship for coastal security
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Friday commissioned 'Adamya', the first of eight Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) being built at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), during a ceremony at Paradip Port. The 51-metre vessel, entirely designed and built indigenously with 60% local content, is powered by twin 3000 KW engines. The ship is equipped with advanced systems to intensify coastal security.
