Indian companies' cash buffer shrinks for 1st time in three years
An analysis of 339 companies in the BSE 500 index (excluding BFSI and oil and gas) by Ace Equity showed that their cash reserves fell by over ₹43,000 crore between March 31 and September 30. Total cash declined from ₹7.8 trillion to ₹7.36 trillion. This is reportedly the first time since September 2022 that cash buffers of Indian companies dipped.
