Indian markets end lower as IT and pharma drag
Indian markets slipped on September 22 as Sensex fell 435 points and Nifty 50 closed below 25,250. IT and pharma stocks dropped after the US raised one-time H-1B visa fees. Gains in power, oil & gas, and realty were insufficient to offset losses. Top Nifty losers included Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Cipla while Adani Enterprises, Bajaj finance, Eternal, Ultratech gained.
