Indian-origin doctor gets 14 years jail for healthcare fraud in US
A 48-year-old Indian-origin doctor has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for committing healthcare fraud in US. The doctor, Neil Anand, was accused of forcing his patients to accept bags filled with sedatives which weren't of use to them to claim insurance payments. Anand was ordered to pay over $2 million in restitution and over $2 million in forfeiture.
