IndiGo fined ₹20 lakh for pilot training lapses at Category C airports
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) fined InterGlobe Aviation, IndiGo's parent company, ₹20 lakh for lapses in pilot training at high-risk Category C airports such as Calicut and Leh. Roughly 1,700 pilots were found to be trained on full-flight simulators that are not certified for these airports due to challenging terrain and weather. IndiGo said it would contest the fine.
