The cost of insurance for airlines may see its largest-ever rise of up to 30% globally in the next renewal cycle owing to the Air India plane crash, according to experts. Insurance claims for the Ahmedabad crash are expected to be worth around $475 million. Currently, Air India fleet is insured for about $20 billion with $30 million annual premium.
