Israeli Defense Forces on Thursday launched fresh air strikes against Hezbollah military targets in south Lebanon. Israel said the attack on Hezbollah military infrastructure was "in response to the group's unlawful attempts to rebuild its activities in the area". Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said the evacuation warnings issued by Israel contradicted international peace efforts.
