It’s like smoking 20-30 cigarettes daily: Ex-WHO scientist on air pollution in India
Former WHO Chief Scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan expressed concern over rising air pollution in India. She said the toxic air is damaging hearts, developing brains and driving a rise in lung cancer among non-smokers, adding, "It's like smoking twenty or thirty cigarettes daily."
