Jack Dorsey launches messaging app 'bitchat' that doesn't need internet, mobile network
Twitter Co-founder Jack Dorsey has launched the beta version of bitchat, a messaging app that doesn't require internet connection or mobile data to run. The app uses Bluetooth mesh network, is end-to-end encrypted and doesn't need servers, accounts or data collection. Dorsey claimed that his app has an extended range, relaying messages through peers to extend up to 300 metres.
