Jaipur man makes 20 crore eco-bags in 34 years, to cut plastic use
Dinesh Gupta, an entrepreneur from Rajasthan's Jaipur, has been producing cotton bags since 1991 as an alternative to plastic. Starting with a few women artisans, his model allowed them to stitch from home while earning steady incomes. Even during COVID-19, the work continued. Today, he produces over 1.5 crore eco-friendly bags annually, with over 20 crore made in 34 years.
