Janata Party chief held for forged nomination in Punjab RS polls
Chandigarh police arrested Navneet Chaturvedi, self-proclaimed national president of Janata Party, in connection with forged nominations for the Punjab Rajya Sabha elections. According to reports he allegedly forged signatures of several AAP MLAs on nomination papers. His papers were rejected after scrutiny when the MLAs denied endorsing his candidature, prompting the police action.
