Japan firm to pay ₹9 cr to family of woman who died by suicide after boss' 'stray dog' remark
A Tokyo-based cosmetics manufacturer was recently ordered to pay 150 million yen (approximately ₹9 crore) to the family of a woman who died by suicide after the company's president verbally abused her. The president had called her a "stray dog" and the victim slipped into depression in January 2022. After her demise in 2023, her family sued the firm.
