Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar took a dig at Pakistan taking over the presidency of the UN Security Council (UNSC), calling it "ironic" and "a joke of the day". "It's a United Nation’s version of creating humour...and jokes," he said. "It’s an irony that Pakistan, the epicenter of terrorism for decades, is today presiding over the Security Council," he added.
