K'taka plans crowd control law with 3-yr jail term after stampede
A crowd control bill is likely to be introduced in the Karnataka Assembly in the monsoon session, reports said. The law reportedly proposes a ₹50,000 fine and up to three years of imprisonment for violators. This comes after a stampede at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB's IPL victory celebrations, in which 11 people died and 56 were injured.
