Kerala confirms 2 more amoebic meningoencephalitis cases
Two children from Kannur and Kasaragod have been diagnosed with amoebic meningoencephalitis and are stable at Kozhikode Medical College. A Palakkad man, diagnosed earlier, is critical and on a ventilator. Health officials are testing five local water sources to trace the origin of the infection, a rare brain disease caused by Naegleria fowleri with a 97% mortality rate.
