Kerala doctors cure world's 1st dual case of amoebic meningitis, fungal infection
Doctors in Kerala successfully treated a 17-year-old boy infected with both amoebic meningoencephalitis and Aspergillus flavus, state Health Minister Veena George said. This is the first known case globally where a patient with both infections fully recovered, she added. George further stated that the neurosurgery team conducted surgeries on the patient during the three-month treatment.
