Kerala issues Nipah alert in 6 districts after 2nd suspected death
Kerala issued a Nipah alert in six districts after a 57-year-old man from Palakkad, suspected to have been infected with the Nipah virus, died. Health Minister Veena George said an alert has been issued in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad and Thrissur. She said health teams are conducting fever surveillance and ordered hospitals to report any cases showing Nipah-like symptoms.
