Kerala revises 2025–26 school calendar, adds Saturday classes
New school year in Kerala for 2025-26 has extended hours and seven working Saturdays for Classes 8-10, for a total of 1,100 hours of instruction per year. Education Minister Sivankutty called for a conversation, citing legal requirements and national equality. The calendar also has arts, sports, and anti-drug events for kids of all ages.
