Kerala shuts newly opened zoo as 10 deer die in stray dog attack
At least ten deer died after an attack by stray dogs triggered mass panic among animals at Puthur Zoological Park in Kerala’s Thrissur on Tuesday. The deer died after they panicked due to stray dogs and ran blindly in fear, crashing into the enclosure walls. The zoo, inaugurated on October 28 by Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, has been shut.
