Kids in Ladakh village learn by farming, no exams till Class 2
The children in Ladakh's Nimmo Hamlet learn from farming, storytelling and exploring the village instead of blackboards. There are no exams till Class 2. "Children are happiest when they learn through experience. And when they're happy, they learn better," Chetan Angchuk, Advisor to the Village Education Committee, said. The model is supported by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC).
