Koneru Humpy to face Divya Deshmukh in first-ever all-Indian Chess World Cup final
Indian Grandmaster Koneru Humpy defeated Chinese Grandmaster Lei Tingjie in tiebreaks in their semi-final at the Women's Chess World Cup 2025. She will face compatriot Divya Deshmukh in an all-India final. Notably, this is the first time ever that a Chess World Cup (men's or women's) final will see two Indians facing each other.
