Ram Prasad Bismil wrote 'Sarfaroshi ki tamanna', helped found the HRA and joined the Kakori robbery. Khudiram Bose was hanged at 18 for attempting to assassinate Douglas H. Kingsford, while Matangini Hazra and Kanaklata Barua were shot holding flags during protests. Durgawati Devi aided Bhagat Singh’s escape after Saunders, and Kotwal Dhan Singh Gurjar opened Meerut jail gates in 1857.
