Liquor priced above ₹800 to be sold only in glass bottle in Kerala
In a sustainability push, the Kerala government has mandated that all liquor priced above ₹800 will be sold only in glass bottles, replacing plastic packaging. This move, along with a bottle-return initiative that refunds ₹20 on returned bottles, aims to reduce plastic waste. The pilot begins in September, starting in Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.
