Little Spotted Kiwi found on mainland New Zealand after 46 years
Luke Hill, a hunter found a Little Spotted Kiwi in Adams Wilderness Area, deep in New Zealand's Southern Alps. Experts believed that the bird only lived on predator-free islands, but this marks its first confirmed sighting since 1978. Soon after footage was made known, Department of Conservation located the female bird, but also found a male Kiwi during their search.
