Maha's Aurangabad rly station renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
The Maharashtra government has renamed Aurangabad railway station as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar station through a gazette notification issued on October 15. The move comes nearly three years after Aurangabad city was renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Aurangabad railway station, which opened in 1900, was built by the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan.
