Majority of Americans believe Trump shouldn't have imposed tariffs on India, finds US survey
A majority of voters in US believe their President Donald Trump shouldn't have imposed 50% tariffs on India, according to US-based think tank Democracy Institute's survey. "Given American voters' strong support for protectionist tariffs, that's a surprising response," the think tank's Director Patrick Basham said. Respondents were equally divided (44%) on whether Trump's tariffs were good for US.
