Make IPL 6-month long, get rid of auctions: Robin Uthappa
Former India wicketkeeper-batter Robin Uthappa opined that IPL should do away with auctions and adopt draft system similar to those in several other sporting leagues. He suggested that the IPL trade window be kept open throughout the year. "I think [IPL] should be like a six-month league. You can have international fixtures in between. It has to evolve," Uthappa noted.
