Malayalam 'Dracula' to be revived again after 5 decades
In the mid-1970s, Kerala readers, from housewives to students, discovered Dracula through Kottayam Pushpanath’s Malayalam adaptation, even without reading Bram Stoker’s original. Five decades later, his grandson Rayan Pushpanath is relaunching the novel in collaboration with the Stoker family. Dacre Stoker, Bram Stoker’s great-grand-nephew, is part of this historic revival, set for January 2026.
