Mamata reacts as Delhi Police calls Bengali 'B'deshi language'
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee criticised the Delhi Police for calling Bengali the "Bangladeshi national language" in a letter, deeming it "insulting". The letter was related to a case investigation under the 'Foreigners' Act'. Accusing the Centre of being anti-Bengali, she urged people to protest against such "anti-Constitutional language to insult and humiliate Bengali-speaking people of India".
