Mamdani slammed for photo with cleric who called to destroy Israel
NYC mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani was criticised on social media after a photo surfaced of him visiting a Brooklyn mosque whose cleric had called for 'annihilation of Israel.' Mamdani had visited the mosque during his campaign trail. He posted a photo with the cleric, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Barr, who had previously called to "liberate Palestine from the occupiers and the plunderers."
