Man duped in ‘digital arrest’ scam sells flat to pay ₹75 lakh
A 65-year-old man in Mumbai fell victim to a 'digital arrest' scam and sold a flat to pay ₹75.5 lakh to fraudsters posing as Delhi Police. The fraudsters claimed that he was involved in money laundering case in which ₹2.83 crore of illicit money was transferred account in his name. They threatened to arrest him if he didn't pay up.
