Man sells house, opens free for all library with 20 lakh books
Anke Gowda, from Harelahalli village in Karnataka, has spent over 50 years building one of the largest private collections of books in India. The 75-year-old sold his house to build a library which consists of nearly 20 lakh books including rare foreign titles and over 5,000 multilingual dictionaries. His library, Book Maane, is open to everyone- without membership or fees.
