Man sells kidney to buy iPhone in China, declared permanently disabled
A man named Wang Shangkun from China's Anhui province sold one of his kidneys in 2011 for 20,000 yuan (approximately ₹2.5 lakh) to buy an iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Later, he got a serious infection, and his other kidney also started to weaken. Now aged 31, Wang is completely disabled and relies on a dialysis machine for survival.
