Former Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney is set to become the new Prime Minister of Canada, succeeding Justin Trudeau. A former Goldman Sachs banker, Carney went to Harvard University on scholarship and earned his PhD in economics from Oxford University. Trudeau, who became the PM in 2015, announced his resignation in January following poor polling and internal dissent.
