Mars minerals hint at possible ancient microbial life
NASA's Perseverance rover has detected iron-phosphate and iron-sulfide nodules in Jezero Crater, Mars, resembling by-products of microbial activity on Earth. While only Earth-based labs can confirm, these findings suggest the ancient Martian lake may have supported life. Samples collected for future analysis could finally answer humanity's age-old question: Are we alone in the universe?
