Maruti slashes e-Vitara production due to raw materials shortage
Maruti Suzuki has slashed its near-term e-Vitara EV production target by two-thirds due to rare earth supply constraints linked to export curbs by China. The company now plans to produce only 8,200 units by September, down from 26,500. Despite the setback, Maruti aims to meet its full-year target by ramping up output later and awaits Chinese approvals.
