Massive stellar jet from monster star spotted at Milky Way’s edge
NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has captured a blazing jet of gas erupting from a young protostar in nebula Sh2-284, 15,000 light-years away. The growing star, weighing as much as ten Suns, shoots material across eight light-years at a speed of hundreds of thousands of miles per hour. Scientists describe the outflow as a double-bladed lightsaber.
