Meghalaya introduces first yacht at Umiam lake
Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday launched “Meghalinor,” the state’s first sailing yacht at Umiam Lake. Aimed at boosting tourism and water sports, he said the move focuses on youth-centric development, job creation, and tapping Umiam’s full potential. The government plans to turn the area into a premier water sports and tourism hub.
