Meghalaya raises minimum wages for unskilled workers to ₹541/day
Meghalaya government has revised minimum daily wages of unskilled workers to ₹541 per day. Semi-skilled, skilled and highly-skilled workers will get ₹583, ₹624, and ₹665 respectively, including Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), according to the Labour Department. These wages apply to 29 sectors, including agriculture, mining, construction, tailoring, workshops and domestic work, it said.
